Kindergarten Discovers Oman at the Bakery and Park

 Atyab Bakery Visit

Though the bus ride was a little long, we enjoyed the ride together. We saw lots and lots of Omani flags and even spotted a bunch of camels!!! And of course, we sang the song, "The Wheels on the Bus".

When we arrived, we took a quick break to eat our snacks.
Then we got ourselves ready to go see the bakery! We put on the stylish hairnets you can see in the photos below. Inside the bakery we saw conveyor belts and giant pans of dough, buns, croissants, and loaves of bread. We saw how the dough went through a machine to make small balls for buns and through rollers to make it into a long loaf shape. We saw the big towers of bread cooling and how they loaves of bread were put into plastic bags. We saw the puffy Arabic bread coming out of the hot oven, giant mixers, huge bags of flour and the way the croissants were cut and rolled before baking. We saw trays and trays of packaged bread, rolls, muffins, buns and more ready to be loaded onto the big trucks to go to the stores...like LuLu, Carrefour, Starbucks, Costa and Subway to name a few of their customers. The children did a great job of being respectful and it was an interesting tour.

There weren't any photos allowed inside so we took a big group KG photo before saying goodbye to the bakery.

as'Sahwah Park

First we had our picnic lunch.
Then it was time to PLAY!!!!!!!
The children were so busy climbing, running, jumping, sliding, and pretending!
We had so much fun!
