Help Wanted!

Dear Parents,

KG is collecting empty jam jars like the one pictured here, to use for a special project at school. This variety of jam is sold in large and mini-sized jars. We need the large-sized jars. Any similar jar, (short, with a wide opening) will work fine as well.

Please send in any jars before December 13th.

Omani Tent Day

Omani Tent Day!

Salaam Walaykoum! 

We learned about being welcomed as a guest. 

We tried dates, sweet Omani donuts and 'coffee' (juice). 

Children were able choose to get an Omani design 'tatoo', henna or 

an Omani flag painted on their hand or cheek.

Shukran!

We learned about Omani frankincense, bakhoor and rose water.

We found out how Omani flat bread is made and had a taste.
Ladhidh.

 Finally we waved our Omani flags to the beat of the drums while we enjoyed listening to music.

There was singing and bagpipe playing too!
