WOW!!! Our last blog post of the year! I can hardly believe it's already here.We have had an amazing year together and I am so glad that I was able to be a part of your child's every day moments. What a gift. Thank you for all of your support and care to help make this year a success for them too. We made a great team!
I am sitting here in a very empty classroom...and I am already missing the hugs, laughter, stories and smiles. It's hard to believe that the year is already over. Of course, as you all are....I am excited for summer and am looking forward to having time to relax and visit my friends and family back home. I wish you all the best. Instead of goodbye...I will say...see you later. :-)
Thank you so much for the beautiful gift of the frame from all the children. I will cherish it so much AND be looking at it wistfully next year in my new office! I truly love it. Thank you also for the Amazon gift card...as you all probably know, I LOVE books. AND, thank you for the SwIm HaiR products...I will need them!!!!!! Finally, thanks again for sharing your gorgeous children. I loved being their teacher. I will always remember this group of kidlets and YOU their wonderful parents. Here is a letter I found and wanted to share with you...
Dear Parents,
I give you back your child, the same child you confidently entrusted to my care last fall. I give your child back pounds heavier, inches taller, months wiser, more responsible, and more mature. Although they would have attained this growth in spite of me, it has been my pleasure and privilege to watch their personality unfold day by day and marvel at this splendid miracle of development. I give your child back reluctantly, for having spent Kindergarten together in the narrow confines of a crowded classroom, we have grown close, have become a part of each other, and we shall always retain a little of each other. Ten years from now if we met on the street, your child and I, a light will shine to our eyes, a smile to our lips, and we shall feel the bond of understanding once more, this bond we feel today. We have lived, loved, laughed, played, studied, learned, and enriched our lives together this year. I wish it could go on indefinitely, but give them back I must. Take care of your child, for children are precious. Remember that I will always be interested in your child and their destiny, wherever they go, whatever they do, whoever they become. Their joys and sorrows I’ll be happy to share. Thank you for sharing your child with me and my class. xx
