We played a partner game in math called
Ten Frame Flash.
Partner A flashed a ten frame with a number of dots on it.
Partner B looked for the number tile that matched the number of dots they saw on the ten frame.
Both partners then checked to see if the number was correct.
After they worked their way through the stack of ten frames, partners switched roles.
Ten Frames are a great tool we use to help student's develop an understanding of a number in relation to the number 10.
Seeing the dots on the ten frame helps children build mental images so they can learn to instantly "see how many".
Math games are a great way to build number sense!

Partners sit back-to-back.
Then, we
READ TO SELF!
Read the whole time.
Stay in one spot.
Be quiet.
Work on Stamina.
